Go Green

The mission of Go Green is to help establish a school based enterprise that will teach our team members transferrable job skills. This school based enterprise project will not just raise awareness but will also help inspire our community in understanding the benefits that come with freshly grown fruits and vegetables. We are growing green for the benefit of our community, the experience of participating in a community farmers market, and for our future generations. The Go Green garden project will help us educate our team members and give them variety of different experiences on operating this as a school based enterprise.

 

This experience is also a great way to bring together volunteers in the community, the entire Clearlake BLAST Program and their families. The Go Green garden and farmers market experience provides excellent teaching opportunities about growing green, the benefits of growing these naturally, the nutrition they provide, helping reduce the carbon footprint, and to help build skills for our adults with disabilities. .
